My Online Reading List
Google Reader
I use an RSS Reader to consume most of the news that I read these days. Google Reader is currently my preferred choice, though for certain purposes I prefer Netvibes.
I've gathered quite a few resources over the years, and in the interests of sharing I thought I'd post some 'bundles' here, organized according to topic. Just click the link and you can subscribe via your preferred RSS reader. Click the [+] button next to the feed count on the bundle page to preview what websites are contained in the bundle:
If you like, you can also subscribe to my shared items (RSS), which are stories that I read that I mark as being share-worthy.
Twitter Lists
I also consume a fair amount of information using categorized Twitter Lists, mostly according to the same topics as above. If you'd like to have a listen to the voices that I think are interesting on Twitter, do check out the following categorized lists:
But I have to confess that the list I primarily watch is here, a select bunch of personalities that I really admire and try to learn from. As a programmer wannabee, I also closely watch my 'programmer journalist' Twitter list, as I think some of these guys are among the smartest and most innovative on the net.
Podcast Subscriptions
Living in Tokyo, it's always handy to have an iPod full of good content. For better or worse, I rarely listen to music anymore but rather an assortment of podcasts and news shows. If you'd like to see my lists of subscriptions (all free), you can view them at 1rick.com/podcasts.
